On May 20, 2016, DWMR sponsored the Greater Austin Asian Chamber of Commerce Ovation Gala. The event took place at JW Marriott Hotel in Austin, Texas, and was a celebration of Asian Pacific American heritage and accomplishments. The black tie event featured an awards ceremony and reception.
